Hello, I'm Nadja Girod, designer and screenprinter from Berlin.

I love patterns and repeats and founded smil in 2004 to build a home for my products. Here you can find my own design on wrapping paper, notebooks, pillows and tote bags. The ever-growing collection is completed by sewing kits and screen print classes.

I am trying to minimise the product's impact on the environment in production, delivery and disposal. I have a company bike instead of a car and my home and studio are powered by green electricity. Packaging is mostly made from recycled paper and FSC certified paper.

Recently I found a print shop that works with 100% recycled paper and uses ink based on renewable ressources. For the future I'm planning to print all flyers and paper goods with them. Nowadays more than ever it's important to design and produce in a way we can feel good about!
